Mérida, Yucatán - July 19, 2025. With 2,171 rooms, 66% of which offer direct ocean views, the Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana hotel is positioned as the resort with the most oceanfront rooms in the history of the Dominican Republic. "This is a project that transforms hospitality in the Caribbean: for its scale, its vertical design, its respect for the environment, and its commitment to the dignity of the people who will make it possible," said Gibrán Chapur, CEO of The Palace Company.

Built with an investment of over $1.5 billion, Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana rises in two 18-story towers, challenging traditional low-rise models in the region. This design allowed for the preservation of more than 228,000 square meters of vegetation, including 400 meters of coastal mangroves, which guests will cross via elevated bridges that respect their ecological integrity. The towers' design allowed for the preservation of more than 38,000 square meters of green space on every three levels, making it the most self-sustaining hotel in the country since its construction phase.

The project also revolutionizes social sustainability with Ciudad Palace, a unique community in the Dominican Republic. In its first phase, it will provide decent housing for 4,000 employees, and in the second, it will allow more than 12,000 people—employees and their families—to live near the hotel, with access to schools, parks, recreational areas, shopping malls, and security services, eliminating long daily commutes.

Starting in 2027, Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana will be powered entirely by clean energy: solar during the day and wind at night, drastically reducing its carbon footprint. With 19 restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and more than 5,000 daily visitors to its lobby, it redefines luxury, innovation, and commitment to the community and the environment in Caribbean tourism.

Recruitment will begin in three months, and Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana is expected to open in early 2026, ushering in a new era for Dominican tourism, sustainable development, and high-impact job creation in the Caribbean.
