The launch took place last week at the offices of Wanderlust Magazine, alongside Lyn Hughes, founder and editor, and Elliot Wellsteed-Crook, COO of the magazine. The physical edition will be available in supermarkets such as Waitrose and WH Smith stores in the United Kingdom, while the digital version will be distributed globally, bringing Ecuador's image to thousands of travelers around the world.

Wanderlust, the UK's leading travel magazine, has a print circulation of nearly 77,000 copies per issue and more than 345,000 readers combined across digital and print formats, in more than 70 countries around the world, including three of Ecuador's key priority markets: the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.

In addition to being designated as Destination of the Year, there are several initiatives of great promotional value, including the publication of a 160-page bookzine about Ecuador, aimed at the European market, and the creation of an exclusive microsite within the Wanderlust digital portal.

George Kipouros, editor-in-chief of Wanderlust, noted during a press conference prior to the publication that "this is the first time Ecuador has been designated Destination of the Year since the publication's inception in 1994, and it was precisely the country whose diversity inspired the creation of the travel magazine as a means of promoting world destinations."

Tourism Minister Mateo Estrella stated that "these contents become strategic tools that allow us to elevate the country's image even further, with narratives, photography, and experiences that reflect the essence of Ecuador."

The Ministry of Tourism maintains strong initiatives to promote Ecuador as a preferred destination, open to welcoming travelers from around the world, with excellent biodiversity, culture, gastronomy, and service.
