Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest independent hotel brand, announced a strategic alliance with DayBlink GPO (Global Procurement Organization) to help its member hotels gain greater control over their distribution ecosystem and reduce reliance on higher-cost channels. The first phase of the collaboration introduces chain-level agreements with Hotelbeds and WebBeds, two of the world's leading B2B travel distributors, facilitating a more level playing field for participating hotels, resorts, and residences across Preferred Hotels & Resorts' global portfolio of more than 600 properties. Preferred Hotels & Resorts has a broad portfolio of independent luxury hotels across Latin America and the Caribbean, with a strong presence in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
This alliance comes at a pivotal moment, as distribution dynamics are changing globally. Preferred Hotels & Resorts is providing its member hotels with the tools they need to regain control, strengthen their direct booking strategies, and compete on a more level playing field through trusted and scalable partnerships.
“As the distribution landscape continues to evolve, it is vital to work with partners who can drive both booking results and profitability for our hotels,” said Cheryl Williams, Chief Revenue Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. “Our partnership with DayBlink GPO offers improved commercial terms, greater rate parity across distribution channels, and greater control over inventory distribution, giving our hotels the support they need to succeed. This collaboration represents an important step in ensuring our hotels thrive in today’s competitive market,” she added.
“Now more than ever, it is critical that our hotel partners regain control of their inventory and benefit from fair conditions,” said Michael Wong, CEO of DayBlink GPO. “Moving forward, we plan to continue consolidating distribution among a select group of partners with aligned values. This approach will allow us to create a more agile and efficient distribution network, benefiting all parties involved.”
Reflecting Preferred Hotels & Resorts' ongoing commitment to the success of independent hotels in a competitive global marketplace, this initiative is part of a broader, integrated business strategy encompassing distribution, global sales, marketing, public relations, and guest engagement. Preferred offers the scale of a global brand while preserving the individuality of each property.
