Small Luxury Hotels of the World adds 49 new properties in the first half of 2025

The global collection of boutique hotels expands its portfolio in destinations such as Mexico, Japan, India, Europe and the Americas, following a record year of additions in 2024

London, UK, August 2025 – Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) added 49 new properties to its portfolio during the first half of 2025, consolidating its growth after adding a record 82 hotels in 2024. The collection now comprises more than 620 independent properties in over 90 countries, reinforcing its position as a benchmark in the boutique luxury segment.

New additions range from secluded sanctuaries and exclusive nature retreats to urban hotels in iconic cities. Highlights from the 2025 openings include La Valise Mazunte (Oaxaca, Mexico), The James Suite Hotel Firenze 1564 (Florence, Italy), Maison Maubreuil (Nantes, France), Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 (France), Levantine Hill Hotel (Yarra Valley, Australia), and ONE | GT Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands). Also joining are Aurora Rincón (Puerto Rico), Trusko Resort (Romania), and House of Hütter – Münchner Kindl (Munich, Germany).

SLH is expanding its presence to new destinations such as Berlin (Wilmina Hotel), Bulgaria (Boutique Hotel by BlackSeaRama) and Xi'an, China (Younch Hotel), in addition to additions in Girona, Seville, Kyoto, Tulum, Argentine Patagonia and Goa, among others.

Among the flagship properties are FAUCHON L'Hotel Kyoto, L'Auberge de Sedona (Arizona), Amaya (India), Zelda Dearest (North Carolina) and Marquis Faubourg Saint-Honoré (Paris), all representative of the brand's philosophy of intimate luxury.

The portfolio also expands into urban experiences and natural retreats, with offerings such as Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka by Onko Chishin, TAKANAWA HANAKOHRO (Tokyo), Cavalta Boutique Hotel (Seville), Kestelinn Alaçati (Turkey), Villa Beluno Hotel and Spa (Argentina), Morgan's Rock (Nicaragua), Wakax Hacienda – Cenote & Boutique Hotel (Mexico), Baale Resort (Goa) and The Retreat Costa Rica.
