With the goal of continuing to bring Colombian travelers closer to the unique experiences the island offers, the Curaçao Tourism Office, in collaboration with Wingo, announces the extension of the Medellín–Curaçao flight route between Medellín's José María Córdova Airport and Curaçao's Hato International Airport until the end of January
2026.
The connection, which currently operates twice a week on Thursday and Sunday mornings, has demonstrated positive results since its launch in June of this year, contributing to an increase in visitor flow and strengthening ties between Colombia and Curaçao.
“Colombia is one of our main source markets, and Medellín has established itself as a strategic city for our air connectivity. The extension of this route allows us to continue offering travelers a direct and convenient way to discover Curaçao, its culture, nature, and hospitality,” said Hugo Clarinda, director of the Curaçao Tourism Office.
In turn, Jorge Jiménez, Wingo's Vice President of Sales and Planning, stated that "the extension and expansion of this route is a response to the excellent performance it had during the last high season and the high demand from travelers interested in flying between Medellín and Curaçao. We want more and more people to be able to enjoy the Caribbean and Colombia with low prices and reliable operations."
The operation will offer nearly 1,500 seats per month to directly connect Medellín with Curaçao, giving thousands of travelers the opportunity to enjoy the island and strengthening both vacation tourism and cultural and commercial exchange between the two destinations.
