Dominican Republic's flagship airline, Arajet, reported that July was its best month ever, with record numbers of passengers carried and sales through its website.

According to data published on the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Board's website, Arajet transported 128,178 passengers in July, not including transit passengers, which the airline reports totaled approximately 15,000 during that period. Thus, the total number of passengers transported in July surpassed the threshold of 140,000 for the first time.

With these figures, Arajet positioned itself as the third-largest airline in terms of passengers carried in July, behind only JetBlue and American Airlines, which carried 463,000 and 216,000 respectively; and surpassing Delta, United, and Copa for the first time, which carried 126,000, 123,000, and 112,000 respectively.

In addition, Arajet accounted for 80% of passenger transport among Dominican airlines, followed by Sky High, which carried 15%, and Air Century, Red Air, and Panorama jets, which carried 5%.

"We are at our peak, and this fills us with enthusiasm to continue building the continent's new hub in the Dominican Republic," said Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, in a statement sent to the media.

"We continue to grow in passengers, sales, aircraft numbers, and job creation, so we are confident that the second half of 2025 will close with very positive numbers that will help the country achieve the passenger and tourist goals it has set," he added.

The airline also reported that July 2025 was its best month for sales, driven by summer promotions aimed at stimulating tourist arrivals to the country in the coming months, as well as activations in the United States for the Dominican diaspora.

Arajet already offers 28 destinations in 16 countries and will launch routes to Chicago, Orlando, and Boston in the United States, as well as Córdoba, Argentina, in the coming months.
