Rome is preparing to once again become the global epicenter of tourism with the 25th edition of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit, which will take place from September 28 to 30, 2025, at the iconic Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Tourism, ENIT, the City of Rome, and the Lazio Region, this event marks the summit's return to Europe after six years. It will bring together leaders from the public and private sectors, ministers, tourism executives, and influential figures from the sector to address key topics such as digital transformation, regenerative tourism, and investment strategies.

Among the first confirmed speakers are high-profile figures such as:

William E. Heinecke (Minor Hotel Group)

Jane Sun (CEO of Trip.com Group)

Anthony Capuano (CEO of Marriott International)

Christie Travers-Smith (Head of Retail & Travel EMEA – Google)

Elie Maalouf (Global CEO – InterContinental Hotels Group)

Decius Valmorbida Menezes (President: Travel – Amadeus)
...along with other executives from companies such as MSC Cruises, Virtuoso, Visit California and The Bicester Collection.

This summit not only reaffirms the role of tourism as a global economic pillar—representing around 10% of global GDP—but also promotes dialogue across sectors to build a more responsible future adapted to contemporary challenges.
