Puerto Vallarta consolidates its position as one of the leading destinations for meetings tourism in Mexico and Latin America by participating with an unprecedented delegation in the 16th edition of IBTM Americas, the most important event in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) industry on the continent, which will take place on August 21 and 22 at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City.
The destination's representation for this 2025 edition will be the most robust in its history, integrating 16 hotels with specialized infrastructure and services in the MICE segment, 6 DMCs (Destination Management Companies), 2 tour operators, representatives of the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center (CICPV), Tourism Trusts of Puerto Vallarta and Costalegre, as well as the participation of the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Jalisco, Michelle Fridman, and the Director of Economic Promotion and Tourism of Puerto Vallarta, Alejandra Cornejo.
This large delegation aims to strengthen Puerto Vallarta's presence in the national and international markets, generate new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with buyers, meeting planners, and meeting industry professionals from around the world.
A 2025 of solid results for meetings tourism
So far this year, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust has supported the attraction and operation of 51 events, of which 14 were held at the CICPV and 37 in hotels with the capacity to host congresses, conventions and incentive trips.
These events have brought together more than 42,000 visitors, generating approximately 34,000 room nights and an estimated economic impact of more than 1.5 billion pesos (MDP), consolidating the destination as a driver of economic development for the region.
The outlook for 2026 is also encouraging: nine events have already been confirmed (seven at the CICPV and two at hotels), which will attract nearly 10,000 visitors, with more than 17,500 room nights and an estimated revenue of more than 500 million pesos (MDP).
National recognition for the destination's infrastructure
The Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center was recognized for the third time as one of the Top 10 Convention & Exhibition Centers Mexico 2025 at the MDC – The Event Planner's Magazine Readers' Choice Awards.
This award, granted after a rigorous evaluation and voting process by MICE industry leaders and experts, confirms the quality, competitiveness, and trust that Puerto Vallarta offers to national and international event organizers.
