The executive, the official representative of Viva Resorts by Wyndham in Brazil, brought fresh news to agents and operators: among them, the recently opened resort in Miches, Dominican Republic. "It's a wonderful all-inclusive resort on a stunning beach, opening in December 2024," Kler noted.

Resorts in exclusive destinations

The chain's portfolio reinforces its commitment to avoiding mass tourism. "I'm not in Punta Cana or Cancún. I'm on authentic beaches like Bayahibe, La Romana, Samaná, Cabarete, and Playa Dorada in the Dominican Republic. In Mexico, we're in Playa del Carmen, facing Cozumel. And in the Bahamas, we're on Fortuna Beach on Grand Bahama Island," explains Kler.

Options for all traveler profiles

"I have everything from adults-only resorts, like Viva Samaná, which is a boutique and smaller, to options perfect for families. I don't believe in giant resorts with thousands of rooms. I prefer smaller properties on unique beaches, where guests can find tranquility," Kler emphasizes.

One example is Bayahíbe: "There we have two resorts side by side. Those who stay at one can enjoy the facilities of the other. We joke that you buy one and play at two."

The new luxury in tourism

For Kler, the trend is clear: exclusivity and authenticity. "Many people talk about slow travel and luxury, but for me, luxury has a different meaning. You can be in a tiny inn, in a remote location, and that truly is luxury. The new luxury is escaping mass tourism and seeking private, unique destinations," he summarizes.

Experience that makes a difference

Christina Kler will complete ten years running her own business in 2026, after a 23-year career. Recognized for her strategic vision, she is responsible for bringing major names in international tourism to Brazil, such as Viva Resorts by Wyndham. "I started in Rio de Janeiro doing inbound travel, then worked with Italian and French companies, until I moved to São Paulo, where I opened the Queensbury inbound travel agency. In 2016, I decided to open my own company, Boarding Gate," she recalls.

Kler boasts prestigious clients such as the Beachcomber resorts in Mauritius and Via Outlets, with 11 locations in Europe. Proud of maintaining long-standing partnerships, Cristina has built a solid reputation based on excellence, strategic marketing, and lasting relationships in global tourism.
