With over 25 years of experience in the MICE sector, Vivian Nardone, CEO of FIEXPO Exhibitions Group and Motivation Luxury Summit (MLS), is leading one of the most innovative projects in the incentive events and luxury travel industry. In an exclusive interview, Nardone discussed her career, the unique management of the events she organizes, the trends shaping the future of incentive tourism, and the importance of partnering with Barbados as the host country of the MLS.
A trajectory dedicated to the MICE sector
Nardone has over two decades of experience in the corporate events industry, having held various roles on international teams throughout Latin America. She currently leads the FIEXPO Exhibitions Group and serves on the board of SITE South America as events director. In 2025, she will also join the board of the ICCA Latin America & Caribbean Chapter.
"Our work goes beyond commercial transactions. We want to build long-term relationships, strategic alignment, and regional impact," said Nardone.
The executive also maintains a close relationship with SITE, promoting the association's global studies. According to her, this data is crucial to understanding the growing role of incentive travel in motivation, engagement, and corporate performance strategies.
Innovation and Purpose at the Motivation Luxury Summit
According to Nardone, MLS was designed as a purpose-driven event, where innovation translates into transformative experiences.
"We're incorporating carefully curated business meetings, immersive narratives, and motivational experiences that align with the values of the luxury incentive travel community. For us, innovation means creating transformative human experiences," he explained.
Differentiation strategy between events
Each trade show organized by FIEXPO Exhibitions Group has a clearly defined audience and objective. To ensure this, the team uses cutting-edge technology, data intelligence, and in-depth market analysis.
In the case of the MLS, buyers are selected through a rigorous process, focusing on those who show high potential to generate business in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We are aligned with a global trend that values emerging destinations, beyond traditional markets,” Nardone highlighted.
What sets MLS apart from other luxury events?
Unlike large fairs, MLS seeks to be exclusive and targeted.
"We don't want to be huge, we want to be relevant. The MLS is a space where key decision-makers can truly connect, experience the destination, and establish relationships that translate into business," said Nardone.
Trends shaping the future of incentive tourism
For Nardone, incentive travel continues to be the biggest corporate motivator, as it creates emotional connections and lasting memories.
She cites the IRF Travel Index and SITE studies as references that point to clear trends:
Interest in new, less saturated destinations with outdoor experiences.
Demand for personalization and immersion, with exclusive cultural activities.
Sustainability as a determining factor, with ecological accommodations and support for local communities.
“These transformations are driven, above all, by the values of new generations, who seek more authentic and responsible travel,” he emphasized.
Barbados: Strategic Partnership and Authentic Identity
Since the first edition, Barbados has remained a key partner of the MLS. The island has established itself as a leading destination in the international incentives market, thanks to its cultural heritage, commitment to sustainability, and offering authentic experiences.
"With its rich cultural heritage and commitment to sustainable tourism, Barbados offers an authentic and immersive experience for incentive travelers. Strategic initiatives such as promoting local arts, cuisine, and eco-friendly accommodations have further solidified its reputation in the luxury segment," Nardoni explains, adding:
"Barbados demonstrates strategic consistency and has built a solid reputation in the luxury segment. Hosting the MLS on the island broadens the event's appeal and demonstrates the island's commitment to meeting the industry's highest expectations," concluded Nardone.
