São Paulo, August — Established as one of the leading business hotels in the city, the Wyndham São Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Plaza Hotel has launched a special initiative to strengthen its connection with family guests: the Kids’ Check-in. This new feature invites all children up to 12 years old, arriving with their parents, to complete their own check-in, making the stay more engaging and fun.
The process includes filling out a personalized form with information such as name, age, date of birth, city of origin, mode of transportation, and the most anticipated vacation activities. Children also receive a customized letter with sightseeing suggestions across São Paulo — including attractions such as Mundo Pixar, the Museum of Imagination, and the São Paulo Zoo — with exclusive benefits through strategic partnerships.
At the end of their stay, kids are invited to rate the activities they experienced, allowing the hotel to better understand their preferences and continuously improve its family-focused offerings.
According to Angela Figueiredo, Director of Sales and Marketing, the proposal goes beyond entertainment: “Our goal is to strengthen our relationship with children, who are strong influencers in family travel decisions. We want to show parents that Wyndham Ibirapuera offers the structure, comfort, and safety required for stays with kids, turning weekends into opportunities for leisure and family connection.”
Hotel Services Manager Carolina Golmia adds: “The Kids’ Check-in provides children with a sense of autonomy and responsibility, making them feel like active participants in the trip. For parents, it is gratifying to see their children comfortable and engaged. This is yet another initiative that reinforces our commitment to delivering increasingly better experiences to our guests.”
With more than 600 rooms, the Wyndham São Paulo Ibirapuera is the second-largest hotel in São Paulo. Known for reaching 100% occupancy peaks during the week in the corporate segment, the property now aims to strengthen its appeal among family travelers, who already account for about 50% of weekend occupancy.
This continuous focus on guest experience has also been reflected in public perception: in just over a year, the hotel climbed more than 85 positions in the TripAdvisor ranking, currently holding the 16th spot among São Paulo’s top hotels.
The strategy also includes commercial initiatives in nearby cities within a 500-kilometer radius, promoting São Paulo as a leisure destination and showcasing Wyndham’s unique offerings for families seeking comfort and convenience. In addition, the hotel has been encouraging corporate guests to extend their stays into the weekend with their families, enjoying spacious accommodations, a kids’ menu, and dedicated spaces such as the Kids’ Area.
