Bogotá, August 26, 2025 – Avianca officially unveiled its new uniforms, a collection that blends elegance, comfort, and the pride of belonging to the second-oldest airline in the world. The change marks a new chapter in the company's history, which had not renewed its uniforms since 2018.
The creative process began with recommendations from the company's own employees, who served as inspiration for renowned designer Juanjo Oliva, with 25 years of experience, and Robert Duke, a cabin crew member and winner of the internal "Design Laboratory" competition. Together, they developed a proposal that reflects the airline's essence and modernity.
The uniforms will be available starting in December of this year and will be worn by more than 10,000 employees, including pilots, crew members, airport personnel, maintenance personnel, ground operations personnel, and Avianca Cargo. The production included more than 282,000 garments, 94% of which were made in Colombia, reaffirming the company's commitment to local talent.
In addition, old uniforms will be repurposed in material recycling projects, contributing to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
“Each uniform represents much more than just a garment: it symbolizes the history and commitment of those who welcome our passengers, accompany them on their journey, and make it possible for Avianca to continue connecting Latin America with the world. This renewal is a recognition of the professionalism and passion of our employees, true ambassadors of the company,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
