Guanacaste Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, together with the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), announces the increase in Jetblue flight frequency from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Guanacaste (LIR). This route will begin operations in November with two weekly flights and, starting December 18, will offer daily service.

The flights will operate on Airbus A321 aircraft, with a capacity of 160 seats, allowing for greater availability and connectivity for travelers traveling between Boston and Guanacaste.

This increase in flight frequency strengthens the connection with the East Coast of the United States and consolidates Guanacaste Airport as a key destination for international tourism during the Northern Hemisphere winter season.

JetBlue offers direct flights from Guanacaste to New York (JFK) and Boston Logan (BOS) airports. The decision to expand operations is part of the airline's expansion strategy toward more natural and sun-filled tourist destinations, thereby reaffirming Guanacaste's importance within its international network.

“JetBlue's decision to move from two weekly flights to daily service from Boston to Guanacaste is a clear demonstration of the confidence Costa Rica inspires as a destination. This increase in frequencies strengthens the connection with the East Coast of the United States and will bring more opportunities to the province of Guanacaste, generating employment and social well-being in its communities,” said William Rodríguez, Minister of Tourism.

"We are pleased to continue sharing news of increased frequencies from the US East Coast, this time by JetBlue. In 2025, we reached historic visitation figures, nearly 1.2 million passengers, in the first half of the year alone.

“Guanacaste Airport is consolidating its position as the most dynamic tourist entry point in our country,” said César Jaramillo, General Manager of Guanacaste Airport.
