A high-level delegation from the Turks and Caicos Islands Ministry of Health and Human Services, led by Minister Kyle Knowles, recently visited the Cayman Islands to strengthen the Treatment Abroad Programme and advance reform of the territory's healthcare system.

During the visit, the minister described Health City Cayman Islands as a center with "world-class facilities," comparable to those in the United States, emphasizing that this type of regional collaboration is vital to ensuring access to specialized treatment in island nations with limited resources.

The delegation, made up of the country's health authorities and managers, toured both the main hospital in East End and the new complex in Camana Bay, which specializes in oncology, cardiology, neonatal intensive care, and robotic surgery.

Knowles stated that the experience of seeing firsthand the level of services offered reinforces the confidence in referring patients to this medical center. He also emphasized that the joint work with Health City has evolved into a solid partnership, with the prospect of further growth for the benefit of the citizens of Turks and Caicos.

With this visit, the government reaffirms its commitment to modernizing the health system, expanding access to highly complex treatments, and consolidating strategic ties in the region.
