Flybondi, Argentina's first low-cost airline, officially inaugurated its Buenos Aires–Encarnación route, marking its return to Paraguay after five years. The flight represented a historic event for the city, which thus marks the beginning of its first international air connection.

While regular flights between Buenos Aires and Encarnación will begin in December, the airline will operate three special flights on August 27, 29, and 31 in conjunction with the World Rally Championship.

This first experience will allow the city of Encarnación to take its first steps in positioning itself as a new destination within its network. Together with the National Secretariat of Tourism (SENATUR), a promotional program will be launched targeting travel agencies and operators in Argentina and Paraguay to increase its visibility.

Furthermore, regarding the Buenos Aires-Asunción route, the company continues to advance its plans and expects to make an announcement in the coming weeks.

“Flybondi celebrates its return to Paraguay with the inauguration of a new international route. This milestone marks not only Encarnación's first international air connection, achieved thanks to the joint effort with the National Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DINAC), but also an opportunity to boost an emerging destination like the Paraguayan city. For Flybondi, connecting cities is much more than opening routes: it's about creating opportunities, bringing cultures closer together, and enabling more and more people to fly,” said Mauricio Sana, CEO of Flybondi.

Flybondi reaffirms its commitment to offering greater connectivity and travel options at affordable prices, contributing to regional tourism and economic development. With Encarnación, the low-cost carrier adds its sixth international destination, expanding its regional presence, which already includes seven routes to Brazil: from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Florianópolis, Salvador de Bahía, and Maceió; and from Córdoba to Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis.
