We have interviewed Enrique Zapata, Sales Manager of the chain who gave us a detail about the current situation of the company and future plans

During DATE 2018, an event that is taking place in Bávaro (Punta Cana), we were able to interview Enrique Zapata, HODELPA Sales Manager, the executive gave us a detail about the company's current situation and future plans.

The HODELPA chain, Hoteles del País, S.A., was founded in 1990 by investors and developers who are now linked to the sectors of construction, transportation, banking and tourism.

Enrique Zapata commented: "Two years ago the company started to grow exponentially, today we have the Hodelpa Grand Admiral in Hodelpa, Hodelpa Garden Court and Hodelpa Plaza Center, in Juan Dolio with the Hodelpa Garden Suites, Emotions by Hodelpa and Sensations by Hodelpa In Colonial City our portfolio includes the Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, Hodelpa Caribe Colonial, Novus Plaza Hodelpa and Casa Real Hodelpa, in Santo Domingo the Hodelpa Urbano, in Punta Cana the Hodelpa Garden Court and in Playa Dorada we have acquired the Emotions by Hodelpa".

"We develop projects of high quality standards, services, high profitability, as well as increased tourism demand in the Dominican Republic, with the aim of achieving our vision: to be the most valued company in the country" said the executive.

"MICE is a great challenge for us, we already have local demand and we are starting to position ourselves internationally" Zapata said.

On the future of the firm, the executive said: "For the next year we will add another two or three properties in the Dominican Republic".

At the market level, Zapata clarified: "Canada is our most important market, France and the United States, it varies according to the location of the hotel if it is corporate and beach".
