Amérian Hoteles announces the opening of a Mérit Hotel in Iguazú
The new establishment is located on a 1,000 m2 plot on Yapeyú street in the most important residential neighborhood of Puerto Iguazú
The formal inauguration of the new Mérit Iguazú Hotel will take place on May 30, continuing with the fulfillment of the chain's expansion plan. The new establishment is located on a 1,000 m2 plot on Yapeyú street in the most important residential neighborhood of Puerto Iguazú.
It is located 20 km from the Iguazu Falls and 1.5 km from the landmark three borders. It will have 74 rooms arranged on 3 floors, reception and rest-bar on the ground floor, underground parking and terrace with pool plus solarium and stunning views of the Iguazú River and the Tancredo Neves International Bridge that connects Argentina with Brazil.
With the new inauguration, Amérian will have 21 hotels operating in the main cities of the country and in Montevideo. The chain continues to expand under its two formats: Amérian - of 4 and 5 stars, Mérit - of 3 stars superior. In addition, three more hotels are already under construction in the cities of Rafaela, Río Cuarto and Lincoln.
On the other hand, Fernando Gaido, who served for 12 years as director of the Chain, will leave his management to face new challenges in another productive sector. Gaido, in the framework of professionalization of the company, joined the management team of Amérian in 2006 to enhance its business model and design its expansion plan through the franchise system and Condo hotels.
In relation to his departure, "With his clear objective of scaling up and improving the performance of the companies he joins, Fernando Gaido knew how to strengthen Amérian Hotels with visible results in the growth of the Chain." It was an important engine in our plan of expansion and for that reason we will be always grateful "affirmed Roberto Amengual.
According to Gaido "They were years of important challenges, I feel that I achieved what I set out to do when I left the industrial sector to contribute to the construction of a competitive national hotel chain that would include the three parties, the client, the investors and franchisees so that all I am retiring today with the satisfaction that we achieve our objectives, we gather the parties and we inaugurate a hotel per year on average With these achievements, I feel that I am ready to face other challenges, to think about other business models for different sectors, doing what I like most, to boost the growth of national companies ".
"The Chain will continue with the expansion project that has been implemented in addition to strengthening its sustainability program to be increasingly green and efficient in our services," concluded Roberto Amengual.
Amérian Hotels is the first hotel chain in Argentina, which started its activities in the city of Córdoba in 1992 and, with its own hotels and others under the franchise system, expands throughout the country. It is also a precursor in the modality of condo-hotels, in which any person can invest in the hotel, obtaining a profit greater than a rent. Amérian has five hotels in Córdoba and 21 hotels -including those that are in the pipeline- in 13 provinces of the country and one in Montevideo, Uruguay.
