Closed with singular success the LAMITE 2018
The Latin America Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange was held between May 20 and 22 at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino and Sheraton Santo Domingo
Questex once again organized the Latin America Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange, a show that attracted global suppliers from Latin America for private one-on-one meetings with the hosted buyers top of the MICE segment.
For the exhibitors, it has been a great opportunity to increase their participation in this segment that is strengthened every day.
With a minimum of 20 pre-scheduled appointments in just two days, the format maximizes time and return on investment by taking advantage of the enormous purchasing power of these otherwise difficult-to-reach buyers.
The LAMITE program included networking receptions, cultural activities and tours that provide enough time to meet all the attendees and enjoy the Dominican capital.
Amelia Molina, Director of Congresses and Incentives of MITUR, said that Questex has shown how valuable their events are for the growth and development of the MICE market and hosting LAMITE in Santo Domingo has been an excellent opportunity to show their destiny to the growing audience Latin American meeting planners.
The directive stated that during the conclave appointments were made with an educational component and social activities and receptions with nuances of the Dominican culture.
While Questex executives claimed that LAMITE is the only event in Latin America that provides suppliers around the world numerous appointments one by one in private luxury rooms with potential buyers based in the region. "No other organizer of events in Latin America offers this very productive concept and we could not be happier to have it in such a beautiful destination as Santo Domingo," they said.
The event has had the support of MITUR, Connect DMC, K & M Destinations, as well as the hotels headquarters, Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua & Casino and Sheraton Santo Domingo and the support of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) and the Hotel Association of Santo Domingo.
In the same way, LAMITE has received the support of the El Embajador, Real Intercontinental and Embassy Suites by Hilton hotels.
