Avianca, first airline in the region to adopt NDC standard with Amadeus

Thus, Avianca is the first airline in Latin America to adopt the Amadeus Altéa NDC (New Distribution Capability) solution. This allows the company to provide its travel agencies and customer meta-customers with a more personalized product and expand the possibilities of multimedia content. With Altéa NDC, the airline can also use different marketing and marketing techniques in all its channels.
This new agreement is part of the Amadeus NDC-X program, which brings together all Amadeus NDC activities - both as a technology provider and aggregator - in a single platform.
Amadeus Altéa NDC is a solution that allows airlines to use Altéa PSS (Passenger Service System) to distribute their offer to third parties using the latest industry standards. Altéa NDC, which has the NDC level 3 certification - the highest of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) -, supports full reservation processes in NDC format and offers functionalities for the management of offers and orders. Avianca will be able to integrate its complementary services to the NDC booking flow with travel agencies and metasearch engines, which will allow it to promote the incremental sale of products to third parties and, ultimately, to travelers.
