Melia Braco Village appoints new General Manager
With extensive experience in hotel management positions, Jorge Martínez will oversee the luxurious property located in Jamaica
Meliã Hotels International (MHI), one of the largest hotel companies in the world with more than 370 hotels in 40 countries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jorge Martínez as Managing Director of Meliá Braco Village in Rio Bueno, Jamaica. In his new managerial position, Jorge Martínez will supervise the daily operations of the 232-room boutique hotel, all-inclusive, next to the beach, and will ensure that the initiatives and activations carried out are in line with the brand's standards. Meliã Hotels & Resorts, while bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the hotel.
Jorge Martínez brings with him more than twenty-five years of experience in the hotel sector, in more than six different countries, and has a long history in food and beverages and hotel operations. Previously, he had held the positions of Managing Director of THE SIAN KA'AN at Grand Tulum, General Manager of ME Cancun, Hotel Manager of Breathless Cabo San Lucas, and Food and Beverage Manager at Secrets The Vine Cancun. Jorge Martínez began his career traveling around the world on board Royal Caribbean International before starting in the hospitality sector as Beaches Turks & Caicos Food and Beverage Manager.
