Amaszonas adds new flight Punta del Este-Buenos Aires
The airline offers today a new frequency that will link the Argentine capital with the Uruguayan coastal destination
The airline Amaszonas Uruguay will add from August 17 a new frequency that will connect Punta del Este with the city of Buenos Aires.
The new flight will depart on Fridays from Aeroparque to the Punta del Este terminal, and on Sundays it will travel in the opposite direction, in a proposal that aims to end the seasonality of tourism by connecting two of the most visited destinations on the Rio de la Silver.
The Amaszonas proposal is the result of an agreement between the airline and the Corporación América, which manages the Punta del Este and Carrasco airports, and joins the Aerolineas Argentinas, which also connects Buenos Aires with Punta del Este, and LATAM, which flies Thursday and Sunday between the spa and the Brazilian city of São Paulo.
Each year, 200,000 passengers pass through the Laguna del Sauce Airport, which connects Punta del Este with the world and, together with the Carrasco Airport, constitutes an important driver for Uruguay's tourism and connectivity with the region and the world.
