AC Hotels by Marriott celebrates the beauty of classic modern designs with a European soul and Spanish roots, born of the distinctive vision of the renowned hotelier Antonio Catalán, who founded the brand in 1998 and made it one of the most respected hotel brands in Spain. Following its success in Europe, a joint venture was formed with Marriott International in 2011, launched by AC Hotels by Marriott worldwide in France, Denmark, the United States, Mexico and now Costa Rica. The new AC Hotel by Marriott Escazu is the third hotel of the brand in Central America.

The hotel also has a Fitness Center, free Wi-Fi and Pet Friendly policy.
Based on the belief that intentional design improves life, AC Hotels dismisses the unnecessary, in order to provide guests with carefully designed moments of beauty; moments that elevate their stay and help them focus on what is important to them. The result is a sophisticated but unpretentious style, innovative food and beverage programming, and inspiring experiences.
"We are delighted to bring the AC brand to Costa Rica, in an area as vibrant and full of urban culture as Avenida Escazú, the style and functional design, and attention to detail that we have in all Marriott International hotels make the hotel the ideal place for millennial travelers looking to explore what San José has to offer, "commented Ismael Morales, General Manager of the AC Hotel by Marriott Escazu.
San José is one of the most important capitals of Central America, which continues to develop in business and pleasure tourism. At the beginning of this 2018 the city opened its new Convention Center and the opening of new routes in international airports has increased the air connectivity of the destination. Costa Rica is known worldwide for its natural beauty, with a large number of national parks, conservation areas and protected areas that cover more than 25% of the country's territory, home to 5% of the world's diversity.
