Puerto Rico: Dorado Beach, at Ritz-Carlton Reserve officially reopens
The famous property becomes the first ultra-luxurious holiday resort to receive guests returning to Puerto Rico
Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve officially reopens today, creating an exciting chapter in the rich legacy of properties, as well as in the recovery and resurgence of Puerto Rico. After a meticulous restoration, Dorado Beach emerges more spectacular than ever, presenting an expansion of offers, amenities and facilities, allowing the famous complex to continue creating transformative and personal trips for all guests.
As part of Marriott International, Dorado Beach, Ritz-Carlton Reserve has partnered with music artist and philanthropist Lin-Manuel Miranda to support this work and stimulate the economy of Puerto Rico as well as preserve the country's culture by strengthening and supporting the local artistic community. During the resort's opening season, beginning today and ending in February 2019, Dorado Beach will donate $ 10 per room to the Flamboyan Fund for the Arts, which supports all aspects of the Puerto Rican arts community, including music, theater, visual arts, dance, literature and the education of young artists - critical components of the tourist industry of Puerto Rico and fundamental in the economic recovery of the island.

Guests returning to El Dorado Beach will find each of the 114 beachfront rooms and suites recreated with careful design and renovated with a palette of colors that amplify the natural beauty just beyond their doors. The extensive and exuberant landscape that creates this special and exceptional property has welcomed more than 300,000 new plant species, resulting in a true tropical sensory experience.

Encanto Beach Club Bar & Grill will introduce a renewed menu of meals featuring coastal cuisine that highlights authentic Mediterranean dishes. The elegant restaurant next to the beach, Positivo Sandbar, will debut with an Omakase & Ceviche bar located directly on the sand for a relaxed dinner by the sea. The highly anticipated and emblematic new restaurant and bar of Dorado Beach, COA, will be revealed in mid-December 2018.
The award-winning Botanical Spa has been completely revitalized so guests can relax in serenity and comfort. In addition to the return of the emblematic locally inspired spa treatments they will also make their debut unique handcrafted products that will be made right there at the apothecary, Spa Botánico will also have the debut of new treatments and introduce a spa cooking concept.
Su Casa, the only five-bedroom villa in Dorado Beach and former home of historical figure Clara Livingston, will welcome its guests beginning at mid-December 2018 after completing a renovation that will completely modernize the space and maintain its meaning and historical personality.
