Gonzalo Schames, new Regional Manager for the Southern Cone of American Airlines
Until now, Operations Manager for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay was promoted and in his new role he will be responsible for operations in eight cities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay
American Airlines announced Gonzalo Schames as its new Regional Manager for the Southern Cone. In his new role he will be in charge of operations in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santiago, Rio, Manaus, Sao Paulo, Brasilia and, starting in June, Córdoba.
Schames began his career in passenger services at American in 1993. Since then he has assumed more responsibilities, positioning him in 2005 as the Operations Manager of American at the Ezeiza International Airport. Since 2017, the destinations of Chile and Uruguay have also been added to its management.
"During his 26 years with American, Gonzalo has continued to face new challenges and greater responsibilities, standing out as a leader dedicated to our customers, and above all, to our team," said Jose Freig, managing director of American in Latin America. "We congratulate Gonzalo in this new stage of his career, now leading our operations in the Southern Cone, including more than 115 weekly flights to eight destinations in the region."
