Mieke De Schepper will lead the online segment in Amadeus
The executive has worked at Expedia Group and has more than 17 years of experience in B2C and B2B business management
Amadeus announces today that Mieke De Schepper has been named, with immediate effect, responsible for the segment of online travel companies in the Travel Channels business. De Schepper joins from Egencia, the travel management firm of Expedia Group, where she was senior vice president and commercial director, and will provide more than 17 years of experience in B2C and B2B business management.
Previously, De Schepper was vice president of Expedia Partner Services in the Asia-Pacific region, where she was responsible for forging and managing relationships with hotels in the region. Previously, he worked for 10 years at Phillips Electronics, where he held various leadership positions at the global, regional and local levels in the product, marketing and sales divisions.
In the framework of his new position, De Schepper will be dedicated to providing support to online travel agencies, marketing and travel promotion firms and industry start-ups so that they can expand their businesses, as well as to position Amadeus as the reference partner in the online channel of the travel industry. Since his new role is part of the Amadeus Travel Channels business, De Schepper will report to Decius Valmorbida. Given his personal and professional background throughout the world, including his experience in the Asia-Pacific for the past 14 years, De Schepper will also take the leadership of the company in this market and will remain located in Singapore.
