CIMET met ministers and responsible for Tourism of 16 countries of Ibero-America
The Ibero-American Conference of Ministers and Tourism Entrepreneurs has opened the official program of FITUR
The CIMET once again opened the activities of FITUR 2019. The event held at IFEMA was attended by ministers and tourism officials from Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras , Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
After the success of the last edition, CIMET 2019 has once again incorporated innovations. In addition to the traditional interventions of the ministers, who had five minutes each to present their plans and incentives offered by their governments to Spanish investors, the event hosted three debates that addressed two of the priorities of the WTO (new challenges in technology and innovation, training and education) and a new multi-destination tourism product (in the Qhapaq Ñan or Great Inca Trail).
Meeting between businessmen and tourism ministers
The Conference has also made possible the direct meeting of Spanish entrepreneurs (small, medium and large) with the heads of the governments and tourist administrations of Ibero-America and the Caribbean. In an exceptional workshop the ministers or vice ministers themselves have promoted their destinations, turning the event into a white lobby that serves as an effective instrument for the internationalization of all tourism companies, especially SMEs.
The Ibero-American Conference is approaching a quarter of a century of existence. And it does so by joining forces with the WTO and the Tourism Council of the CEOE, to serve as a link between public and private, facilitating a meeting point, effective and open to all, Ibero-American destinations and Spanish tourism entrepreneurs .
