Barbados opens its season of events with the show organized by the CHTA in Montego Bay, Jamaica
Barbados has had an outstanding participation within the CHTA Marketplace, the CHTA event that took place in Montego Bay, Jamaica last week.
During the show we had the chance to talk with Corey Garrett, Director, Caribbean & Latin America at Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. The official commented: "We have come here since the event has started, it has always been a very useful show for us because We can interact with the most important buyers, entrepreneurs and industry authorities".
"We have noticed the enormous interest in our destination who have visited us at the stand, especially from the United States, Canada and of course Latin America, and we leave here very happy with the feedback".
"2018 has been a year where we have projected a 6% growth in the arrival of tourists and a significant portion of that success has been the agreement reached with Copa Airlines that allows us to receive visitors from the Americas as never before".
"We have been preparing for this year to continue growing and offering a destination that guarantees an unforgettable trip, we are a destination that is always active, the idea is that visitors are not always in their hotels, but can go out and enjoy from a city that has new attractions, first class international events and excellent quality gastronomy, all in communion with the hospitality of our people, which undoubtedly makes a difference".
It is worth noting that during CHTA Marketplace a large number of authorities from Barbados was present, which also included William Griffith, CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc and Petra Roach, Director for USA.
