Mexican destinations strengthen ties with Colombian entrepreneurs
The Mexican states that had the presence of the Tourist Showcase of ANATO have been able to close deals with the tour operators and wholesale agencies of the South American country
After the elimination of the visa requirement for Colombians to visit Mexico, this international market has shown important levels of growth year after year, so the presence of our country was important in the most important tourist event in Colombia.
The Mexican Caribbean, who for the first time led the delegation of Mexico in Anato, held important meetings with companies such as Interjet, Wingo, Turivel, Xperience, International Tourism, VCH, Aliados Travel, Santini Tours, Besttravel, Solaris, Solways, Costamar Destinations , A Tourism, Aviatur and the English Court.
The secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, Marisol Vanegas, together with the director of the Council of Tourism Promotion of the state, Darío Flota Ocampo, and his team presented the offer of the 11 municipalities of the entity. In addition to the novelties of Cancun, Riviera Maya, Isla Mujeres, Holbox, Tulum and Puerto Morelos, special emphasis was also placed on the offer of the southern zone, made up of Mahahual, Bacalar and Chetumal.
"In 2018 (Colombia) it became the fifth most important country of origin of international visitors to Quintana Roo. We have a record of more than 211 thousand Colombian tourists arriving in Quintana Roo, however, this figure is much higher taking into account that many arrive through Mexico City and later travel to Cancun, "said Vanegas Pérez.
Along with Quintana Roo, the offer from the states of Yucatan and Campeche was also promoted, as part of the Yucatan Peninsula alliance, which will also be present at the Paris Top Rease and Italy TTG Incontri fairs, as well as the holding of seminars in the Italian country. Also the state of Guanajuato, was part of the Mexican delegation.
CDMX brand is present
Anato 2019 was also the first international tourism fair in which Mexico City had a separate pavilion thanks to the joint work between the Mixed Fund for Tourism Promotion (FMPT CDMX) and the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies of the capital (AMAV CDMX ).
Companies such as Grupo Meca, Mexinca, Omextur, Ketzaltour, Juliá Tours, Nuestro Mundo, Vive Frida, Universe Travel, Atr and Conexstur, as well as the Association of Hotels of the CDMX and the Association of Tourism of the capital meetings, participated in this effort maintain the promotion of Mexico City.
