Three Latin countries in the top ten tourists in Dominican Republic
In the ranking of the 10 main tourist emitting markets to the Caribbean destination, Argentina occupies the fourth position, Brazil the ninth and Chile the tenth
Three countries in the Latin American region are included in the list of the 10 main tourist issuing markets to the Dominican Republic in 2018, according to the Vice Ministry of Tourism, which is led once again by the US with a total of 2,334,987 of non-resident visitors.
In this sense, Infotur Dominicano was able to confirm that Argentina with 219,027 tourists occupies the fourth position among the main issuing markets, thus being the first market in importance in Latin America, followed by Brazil, which occupies the ninth position with 130,004 and Chile in the tenth position with 114,418 tourists in 2018.
In this way, Argentina rises two places, compared to 2017, year in which it ranked 6th with 180,286 tourists. Keeping this way in the Top Ten, since in that year, Puerto Rico with 116,846 tourists occupied the 9th position and Venezuela with 105,441 tourists, it occupied the tenth position.
