The hotel was built with a sophisticated design, which also incorporates the most advanced technological innovations based on the use of Internet, to facilitate the use of facilities and amenities to guests and members of the Círcle vacation club.

He recalled that the chain's relations with the country began in 1989 when Mr. Gabriel Escarrer saw the important potential it had for the positioning of luxury tourism, with a competitive financial sector, legal security, sustainable growth that reinforces the diversity of the offer and it highlights the culture, the gastronomy, the natural attractions, all this together with the best Dominican human capital.

Since then, he stressed, Meliá has created a strong link with the Dominican Republic and especially with Punta Cana whose excellent conditions for holiday tourism encouraged us to launch new projects here, all with great success.

Mr. Tejeda explained that today under the leadership of the chief executive, Vice President Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Meliá revalidates its commitment to Punta Cana, with The Grand Reserve, increasing its presence to 7 hotels, with 4000 rooms, a Shopping Center and the Cocotal Residential & Golf Club, and a team of 7,000 employees.
