Acapulco strengthens its destiny in Tianguis Turístico

The 44th edition of the Tourism Tianguis of Mexico has set a record number of business appointments to reach the 47114 confirmed. This year it exceeds the 2018 edition in Mazatlán whose brand was 44714; that is, the increase so far is 5.3 percent.

There are 45 countries, including Mexico, that are present in this great event: Germany, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Korea, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, Slovenia, Spain, United States, Estonia, Philippines, France, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Ukraine, Uruguay and Mexico.

Within hours of the show's completion, we interviewed Pedro Haces Sordo, President of the Tourism Promotion Trust of Acapulco and Hotel Manager ElCano. The executive said: "We are happy with the results of this event, it has exceeded the call of the 2018 event, we have had many meetings with airlines, hoteliers and businessmen of the sector, all are very confident in the development of our city's business.

On the issuing markets, Haces Sordo commented: "We have been receiving a lot of visitors from the United States and Canada, but they are seasonal tourists with charters flights, especially from cities where the winter is very cold. of the Pacific, most of Colombia, Peru and Chile, in Europe we are growing and more and more Poles, Germans, Russians, Spaniards and Italians arrive every day ".

On the dissemination of the destination, Haces Sordo mentioned: "We have promotion with campaigns in conjunction with airlines, wholesalers and promotional trips with travel agents from different countries."
"We have invested in updating our page where tourism professionals can get a lot of information about the destination and participate in webinars," the official concluded.

One of the key points is the infrastructure, on this subject the manager said: "The city is growing, it is modernizing with major road works, we are adding hospitals, we will have a new tennis stadium, museums and other attractions".

"The occupation is 65% average this year and we are confident that during Easter we will grow, the challenge will be to increase the occupation for the rest of the year", concluded Haces Sordo.
