Rincón de la Vieja has 14 thousand hectares and is one of the most beautiful protected areas in the country for its waterfalls, tropical forest, pastures and trails amid active fumaroles, hot springs and hot mud. For example, Las Pailas, on the slopes of the volcano, visitors can receive clay baths, walk trails and enjoy nature.

In La Fortuna de San Carlos, the 1,600-meter-high Arenal Volcano rises majestically. By means of three paths it is possible to cross it and to observe some zones where solidified lava of the great eruption of 1992 can still be seen, also the area that surrounds it is famous for its thermal waters.

The Arenal Volcano is one of the youngest and most active volcanoes in Costa Rica, it has a nearly perfect cone 1,633 meters high

The Irazú is the highest altitude with 3,432 meters, located 32 kilometers northeast of the province of Cartago and offers attractions such as breathtaking views from its peak or the bright green lagoon that is located in one of its four craters.

The Barva Volcano is one of the most extensive in the central area and is part of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which has more than 6,000 plant species and multiple trails to explore it.
