Tue April 23, 2019

The event will be held from May 8 to 10 at the National Center for Congresses and Conventions of Costa Rica. It will be attended by 230 buyers from 35 countries

Costa Rica will seek to enhance its natural diversity during the Expotur tourist fair, which will take place from May 9 to 10, informed the organizers.

The Costa Rican Association of Tourism Professionals (Acoprot), organizer of the activity, indicated that Costa Rica will open its doors to 230 buyers from 35 countries, who will promote the destination, as well as its visa facilities and air connection.

"The 35th edition is a moment of great joy for the achievements, but at the same time a great commitment to the tourism sector at a time when competitiveness, which increases by the immediacy of communications, drives us to improve and specialize our offer, "said the president of Acoprot, Erasmo Rojas.

Costa Rica will be offered to all visiting buyers as a sustainable multi-destination, where tourists can find not only the wonders that natural diversity offers, but also do business, enjoy nightlife, cultural offerings and traditions.

In addition to its possibilities for adventure activities, wellness tourism, sun and beach, all within a framework of sustainability, which adds competitiveness to the national tourism sector.

"We came to this edition with a substantial improvement in our indicators, while opening space for more and more MSMEs-a segment in constant growth-to consolidate and captivate more tourists interested in that differentiating element they offer," Rojas said. .

This occasion, the micro, small and medium tourist Costa Rican tourism companies will have an exclusive place in the fair, since they will be highlighted as a fundamental axis of tourism management and will have special conditions for their participation.

Data revealed by Acoprot indicate that in the lodging sector, 94% of the establishments in the country are made up of small and medium enterprises.
