The event organized by BTMI, promotes the main destinations of Barbados. More than 100 industry professionals was invited


A new edition of Connect Barbados began yesterday night, the event is held at Hilton Barbados and is organized by BTMI. The objective is to promote the paradisiacal Caribbean destination for 4 days. The show has the presence of more than 100 participants (including 56 tour operators). William 'Billy' Griffith, CEO of BTMI welcomed the guests by thanking them for their participation. The "Feet in the Sand Beach Party" was extended until 10pm.

Today began the first of two business days where tour operators that have been invited from the main issuing markets will be able to make direct contact with suppliers in Barbados. The opening was attended by the Honorable Kerrie Symmonds, Minister of Tourism of Barbados, William 'Billy' Griffith, CEO of BTMI and Robert Chase, Marketing Director of BTMI who made a brief speech to highlight the news at the destination.

Among the guests is the presence of professionals from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. Tour operators such as Air Canada Vacations, Virgin Holidays and Expedia Group are part of this event.

Day 4 BTMI has prepared a tour to know the main attractions of the destination.

It is worth mentioning that this is an exclusive conference, only for guests and is focused on the luxury travel market, according to the BTMI the objective is to cultivate collaboration, share ideas and help open business opportunities. The invited professionals can meet and experience the latest developments and services on the island.
