Charo Trabado, CEO of the event said: "We have already received over 400 pre-registrations from companies from 56 countries".


Charo Trabado, CEO of MITM Events stated during her presentation during the conference sessions in FITCuba 2019 that MICE tourism will lead the growth of the global tourism industry: “The MICE related tourist spends 53% more that the average tourism consumer” and pointed out that “meetings will be the most relevant segment”.

Furthermore, she thanked the Minister of Tourism Manuel Marrero Cruz for placing his trust once more in MITM Americas to position internationally Cuba´s MICE industry, thus enabling it to become a benchmarkfor Latin America and The Caribbean. Charo Trabado also wanted to shine a light to the outstanding work of the employees of the Ministry of Tourism, achieving to increase considerably the tourism numbers, sustainability and the quality.  

MITM Events has developed, throughout its 50 editions, the “MITM System” that guarantees anoutstanding program for the duration of the event, assuring direct contact among all participants and the creation of strong business ties. We have already received over 400 pre-registrations from companies from 56 countries. In relation to buyers, “only an average of 20% of the processed registrations are approved, guaranteeing that appointments are met within a 99.99%”, Charo Trabado.

With the 3 previous editions held in the island, Cuba has benefited from the international promotion offered by GSAR Marketing: “as of today becoming one of the premier MICE destinations in The Caribbean and Latin America” said Charo during the presentation. Furthermore, the CEO of MITM Americas declared: “our compromise with our participants in this 4th edition in Cuba and 23rd MITM Americas, is as strong and as resolute as ever: “BUSINESS for the destinations and exhibiting companies”.
