Grupo Posadas puts its focus on the Latin MICE market
The Mexican hotel chain participated in IBTM Americas with the aim of boosting group sales in Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Brazil
Grupo Posadas has had an outstanding participation in IBT Americas last week. During the event held at CDMX, we were able to talk with Marco Martinez, Director of Corporate Accounts of the chain. The executive commented: "Grupo Posada has 180 hotels with a wide range of brands, now we are present in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, Aruba and the objective is to continue growing in the Caribbean, without neglecting our focus on expanding the amount of hotels in Mexico ".
"For the MICE segment, we can offer different types of properties but probably the Fiesta Americana are the ones that have the best structure since they offer modern living rooms, large spaces, good availability of rooms, etc. Our added value is the quality of service, the quality of its people and gastronomy. "
"Our main issuing markets are Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Brazil, which is where we will put a lot of focus, and we are even evaluating having an executive that serves those accounts regionally."
"MICE is already 20% of our turnover, depending on hotels, there is one whose operation is almost totally destined for that segment".
"We work directly for corporate accounts and we have a program called Group Rewards that has super attractive benefits for professionals".
