One year after the start of operations in the complex, we interviewed its General Manager Álvaro Rojas

The imposing National Center of Congresses and Conventions of Costa Rica located in the city of San Jose has had a cost of U $ 35 million and can host events of up to 6000 people but its versatility offers an ideal structure for meetings of all types of size.

During Fiexpo, we were able to talk with Álvaro Rojas, General Manager of the complex. The executive mentioned: "The DNA of our country is sustainability and we are going to lean on that concept, not only because of an image but because it is something we believe in. In addition, we are working hand in hand with the public sector which is going to enhance our development In the associative area it is vital to have the support of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute to capture as many conventions. "

"We focus on strong industries such as medicine and technology that are important both locally and internationally." In terms of markets, our effort will be put especially in countries like USA, Mexico and Colombia, without leaving aside the rest of the Americas. "

"It is the second edition of Fiexpo in which we participate, it has been very profitable, and on August 1 we completed the first year of operations, strengthening the offer of the destination together with the associations and companies present."

"Our experience is that relations are germinated or sowed with potential clients, in some cases negotiations are concluded and in other cases we have been able to hold meetings to bid for international events at our venue."

"Last year we started in August and managed to hold 130 events, exceeding the projected sales by 9%, and this year's goal is to double that figure and bring the National Convention Center to the point of operational balance".
