INGUAT promotes its destinations in LAMITE

The Guatemalan Tourism Institute participated in LAMITE, an event that brought together the main meeting planners based in Latin America and buyers of incentives together with world leading suppliers for three days. During the fair we talked with Paola Mejia, Coordinator of the MICE Segment. The official commented "LAMITE has been very important because of the type of fair it is, we have noticed great interest in our destination, we have come with 6 private companies that have accompanied us in search of attracting new events, the idea was to show the diversity of our proposal for MICE".
"While we seek to promote our destinations throughout the country, Guatemala City generates 70% of sales and La Antigua 14%",
"We are always innovating in the tours including the local communities and we have presented a tour of the rum in the highlands that emulates the success already achieved with coffee tour, and we continue to grow in the tourism proposals in contact with nature".
