Curacao Marriott Beach Resort renovation nearing completion
The new appearance presents nuances of Dutch naval influence and
colonial elements interwoven in a clean and contemporary design
The $ 37 million renovation of the iconic beach resort will be completed by the fall of 2019, giving new life to the property located on six acres of oceanfront real estate. The transformation of the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort promises to bring a new feeling of luxury and excitement to the island, considered as the best vacation destination for diving, outdoor recreation and relaxing under the famous "Caribbean Sun". Once the renovation of the resort, which was bought in 2016 by Piscamar Beach Resort, will offer 328 rooms and 8 executive suites.
The new appearance presents shades of Dutch naval influence and colonial elements interwoven in a clean and contemporary design. The rooms and common areas will share a palette of cold colors of blues and whites inspired by the turquoise water and blue nights of the area, enhanced by shades of natural wood and touches of orange, which symbolizes the Dutch influences on the island. Each room and executive suite will feature a host of amenities including private balconies overlooking the pools or the ocean, large flat-screen TVs, luxury linens and spa-inspired bathrooms. Executive suites have spacious living rooms and an impressive ocean view.
Caribbean chef Dino Jagtiani, former owner of the acclaimed Temptation restaurant in San Martin, will help develop and oversee the property's multi-million dollar food and beverage operation. The new Curacao Marriott Beach Resort will feature seven different restaurants and bars, including a sushi bar, an artisanal cocktail bar, a pool bar. A new and exclusive haute cuisine restaurant, C-Spice, will feature a modern version of luxury Caribbean meals for breakfast and dinner. The resort also has two meeting rooms that can be used for conferences, conventions and events on the island.
