Turkish Airlines adds Mexico City and Cancun to its flight network
The airline reached 19 destinations in the Americas. Flights will be operated three times a week on the route Istanbul - Mexico City - Cancun
Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries than any other airline in the world, continues to expand its flight network. This time, Turkey's flag airline added two new destinations in Latin America: the national capital Mexico City and Cancun, one of the most chosen beach tourist destinations in Central America.
Flights to Mexico City and Cancun, destinations number 18 and 19 of Turkish Airlines in America, will be operated three days a week on the route Istanbul-Mexico City-Cancun from August 21, 2019. With these flights Turkish Airlines adds Mexico, the largest country in Central America, to its flight network, thus offering an even greater connectivity opportunity from the Istanbul airport.
During the press conference held at the Mexico City International Airport for the inaugural flights, M. İlker Aycı, chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines said: “Within the framework of our growth strategy, we continue to expand the borders of our flight network. After the last inauguration of flights to Bali, we are pleased to be able to connect these two very important cities of America with 125 countries around the world. As of this day, passengers traveling to Mexico City and Cancun will be able to do so with the exclusive comfort of Turkish Airlines. We believe that our new flights will strengthen ties between Turkey and Mexico in every way".
