Interjet reaches 14 commercial alliances with foreign airlines Q2 2019
The Mexican company has signed agreements of this type with Emirates, Alitalia and Qatar Airways, among others
Interjet, a hundred percent Mexican airline, added a total of 14 commercial alliances with several foreign airlines to the second quarter of 2019, including 12 interline agreements and four shared code agreements, which demonstrates the great confidence that these companies have for Interjet to transport to its passengers
The Interjet routes cover 52 destinations in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, but the number grows exponentially due to its agreements with other airlines and without which it would not be possible to reach new places.
Another benefit of such agreements is the convenience of being able to purchase flights from another airline with the same ticket, if they share a connection point with Interjet.
During the April-June quarter of this year, the airline established a code-share agreement with Alitalia, the main airline of that European country and with which it already has an interline business alliance. He also signed another with Qatar Airways, through which, the passengers of the Asian company have access to the entire Interjet route network in the Americas.
Alliances with other multinational airlines have allowed the Mexican firm to strengthen its foreign operations. In July 2019, it reported a 22 percent growth in the international passenger market, having served 436 thousand 644 travelers.
In addition to Alitalia and Qatar Airways, the company has commercial alliances with American Airlines, Emirates, Iberia, LATAM, British Airways, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, All Nippon, Eva Air, Hainan Airlines, Air Canada and Han Air.
In the case of Emirates, the Mexican airline has an interline agreement to connect in the United States and is giving excellent results.
Interjet is distinguished by being a company that provides a high travel experience, with a unique set of services that provides travelers with the perfect balance between cost and benefit; Such is the case of its policy of non-overselling, enjoying the greater space between seats of its category in the American continent, snacks and drinks at no cost, as well as the possibility of documenting up to 50 kilograms of luggage at Priority rate, among others.
