The International Conference Planet, People, Peace - P3, convened by the Costa Rican Tourism Board and the National Chamber of Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism (Canaeco), stands in solidarity with efforts to end fires in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil and other countries like Bolivia and Peru.
The organization will donate 10% of the cost of each registration to the P3 Congress to the NGO Arbio Peru, with the purpose of collaborating with the fight to end this natural disaster.
"At the same time, we want to raise awareness in people about the importance of uniting wills in favor not only of the greatest lung of humanity, but also of the forest reserves we still have," said Dayana Hernández, executive director of Canaeco.
Arbio Peru manages and takes care of 916 hectares of Amazonian forest in the Las Piedras River basin, Madre de Dios.
The organization is led by women and its purpose is to implement forest conservation actions involving civil society and the private sector.
Those who wish to register for P3, the only international conference that Costa Rica offers to the world in terms of sustainable tourism, can do so at www.planetapersonaspaz.com.
