Hoteles Panamericano signs agreement with Marriott International
The Panamericano Buenos Aires hotel will operate under the Marriott Buenos Aires brand and expects to open its doors in June 2020
Hoteles Panamericano and Marriott International signed the franchise agreement that will make the Panamericano Hotel a Marriott Buenos Aires and in turn the first hotel with this brand in Argentina from June next year.
Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott International, continues to work on improving the travel experience of its guests, while opening up new opportunities for the next generation of travelers to do so exceptionally. Currently, Marriott International has 256 hotels in the Caribbean and Latin America, operated under 19 of its brands, including Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, The Ritz-Carlton and W Hotels.
Hoteles Panamericano will make the necessary adjustments to the property in order to reach the standards required by Marriott International globally.
In this framework, Panamericano Hotels were designated as: “Preferred Operator” for the driving of other hotels of some of the brands of Marriott International in Argentina.
With the conversion of this hotel, the prestigious Marriott Hotels brand returns to the City of Buenos Aires, while evaluating the possibility that another hotel of the Pan-American brand is part of the Marriott International portfolio, added to potential projects in the same market.
The agreement was concluded by both parties between Messrs. Marcelo Ubach - CEO of the Pan American Hotels, Laurent De Kousemaeker - Chief Development Officer for the Caribbean and Latin America and Daniel Ozzan - Director of Development for the Caribbean and Latin America.
“It is a pride and a great challenge to be able to take the emblematic Marriott Hotels brand on our property and thus together start a path of growth and development in the hotel business. I appreciate the collaboration of all Marriott executives who participated to carry out this important project, ”said Marcelo Ubach, CEO of Pan American Hotels.
"We are delighted to bring the Marriott Hotels brand back to Buenos Aires and to continue increasing our portfolio of properties in this important destination," said Laurent de Kousemaeker, Chief Development Officer of Marriott International, Caribbean and Latin America. "We are excited to lead the Marriott Buenos Aires project in conjunction with Pan-American Hotels and its entire team".
