The board of directors of MPI Mexican Caribbean chapter has taken possession
The new chapter of MPI Mexico is composed of 58 members. They seek to boost the segment of meetings that represents 30% of reservations
The 2019-2021 board of the new chapter of MPI Mexico, Mexican Caribbean chapter, created to continue promoting the growth of congresses, conventions, incentives and exhibitions of the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo, Yucatan and Campeche, took protest before the 58 partners and guests who attended the event organized in collaboration with Athelier de Hoteles in Costa Mujeres.
With the presence of Jimena Laza director of protection of children and adolescents on behalf of Lic. Mara Lezama, municipal president of Benito Juárez and Max García, undersecretary of Tourism Promotion of Quintana Roo the new members of the board of directors shared messages about the importance of belonging to the most important Association in the tourism of MPI meetings, in addition to presenting the objectives focused on generating more business opportunities for all its partners and maintaining and increasing the competitiveness with which the states of Quintan Roo, Yucatán and Campeche within the meetings tourism industry that represents 30% of reservations for Mexican Caribbean destinations.
In this regard, Valeria Serrano, president of the MPI Mexican Caribbean chapter commented: "We seek to be agents of change, a watershed between today and the future of our destinations."
The most recent chapter created by MPI since 2012, that of the Mexican Caribbean, has among its main objectives: Create B2B business opportunities for its partners through national and international familiarization trips, as well as promotional trips in conjunction with the associations of Cancun and Riviera Maya hotels, the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo and tourism secretaries of Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatán. In addition to promoting excellence with specialized education on a monthly basis, implementing a social responsibility and sustainability program within MPI Caribe Mexicano, promoting good practices between partners and the destination, as well as increasing membership to 100 members by the end of 2020, strengthening it with international meeting planner members, thus generating better networking opportunities among the members.
The board of MPI Mexican Caribbean Chapter is composed of: Guadalupe Ávila, secretary; Andy Ortiz, Vice President of Memberships; Vicente Madrigal, Vice President of Administration and Finance; Salvador Bernal, Vice President of Education; Bernardo Santillana, Commercial Vice President; Manuel Saracho, Vice President of Institutional Relations; Rocío González, Vice President of Communication; Danielle van der Kwartell, advisor and Valeria Serrano, president.
For Quintana Roo, this represents the training and professionalization of local industry leaders, access to more than 1,400 buyers who do business with Mexico, promotion and presence of the state and its offer to more than 60,000 members of the MPI industry in Mexico, United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe.
