Today, meetings began at La Cita de las Américas, a networking event held in Kissimmee. Discover The Palm Beaches is present to make contact with important buyers. This morning we were able to interview Erick Garnica, who serves as Leisure Travel Industry Director. He mentioned: "We are the tourist office of our destination, we represent 39 cities from Boca Raton to Jupiter."
"The best known cities are West Palm Beach and Palm Beach. We are an hour and a half from Miami and two hours from Orlando."
"In 1894 was installed the first hotel called The Breakers Palm Beach that still exists and is oriented to luxury tourism. Today the destination and its variety of accommodation has grown. We have properties for all budgets on a total of 47 miles of beaches".
"We receive many travelers from Latin America all year round, especially during the Polo championship in Wellington that takes place from January to April, this is one of the most important tournaments in the world."
"We have received more than 900,000 international visitors, we have local representatives in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina to work hard with the trade and MICE."
"Since last year we have a luxury train that connects with Miami and so we are growing a lot as a satellite option."
