Embratur signs unprecedented partnership to promote Brazil with the United States
Group composed of representatives of the Institute and the 4 brazilean states initiates negotiations for joint disclosure of the country in foreign fairs
Optimize tourism promotion in Brazil as a tourist destination, improve the strategy of operation and ensure economy. This is the purpose of the unprecedented partnership between Embratur (Brazilian Institute of Tourism) and the tourist offices of the Federal District, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina. The group will be responsible for outlining the country's joint outreach strategy at international tourism fairs. The decision was right on the morning of Thursday (5), after the solemnity alluding to the Homeland Week at the Institute.
According to the president of Embratur, Gilson Machado Neto, the idea is to study ways of Brazil being presented solely for its diversity, with the specificities of each member state. “The greater the support, the better the integration and visibility of Brazilian products abroad. In addition, there will be less costs, following the guidance of the Presidency of economy, ”he said.
According to the Institute's Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Osvaldo Matos de Melo Júnior, “Embratur is open doors for more states and representatives of the Brazilian tourism trade to be part of this joint action”. The director reaffirmed the position of President Gilson Machado Neto on the issue of saving for all representatives: “Embratur will make available its communication agencies responsible for dissemination in strategic countries, their promotion expertise and the states with their experiences and their tourism products. I'm sure it will be a great performance, with much less spending for everyone, ”said Osvaldo Matos.
The new performance model in international fairs will still be analyzed. The initial idea is that there is a larger space than the current stands of the Institute and that have places for different activities, such as business roundtables, lectures, training campaign presentations and attracting sensory experiences.
For Rio de Janeiro State Tourism Secretary, Otávio Leite, the reasoning is very simple: “Unity is strength. This work, which will be fully developed, will make Brazil's presence in international events much more visible. I am very excited about this new force that Brazilian tourism tends to gain, ”he said.
Already the president of Santur (Santa Catarina Tourism Development Agency), Flavia Didomenico, highlighted the tourism potential of the state and the intention of strengthening Brazil in the national and international market. “On behalf of the governor of Santa Catarina, I make myself available for alignment with Embratur and the Ministry of Tourism. We understand that, due to the diversity and size of Brazil, we have to come together to show the country in its entirety and Santa Catarina has innovative, special and international products that deserve this recognition. This is a moment of integration, ”said Flávia.
