Norwegian opens today the Buenos Aires - Jujuy route

The seventh cabotage route in the country will connect the Argentine capital with the northern city and will have two weekly flights, on Fridays and Sundays


Norwegian Air Argentina inaugurated today its seventh cabotage route in the country, with a flight whose departure time is scheduled for 11:55 hours from Jorge Newbery Airport, in the City of Buenos Aires, and arrival in San Salvador de Jujuy. The flight, identified as DN6132 and will have frequencies Friday and Sunday, will be operated with a Boeing 737-800.

The first flight will also have the particularity of being the first one in the new airport of the Jujuian capital, the Governor Horacio Guzmán International Airport, which today had its official inauguration with the presence of President Mauricio Macri and Governor Gerardo Morales.

After tomorrow's arrival, scheduled for 2:10 p.m., Jujuy government authorities and Norwegian Air Argentina executives will participate in a formal event and for passengers and the press. A day later, Norwegian will inaugurate its eighth cabotage route in the country, between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, in Tierra del Fuego.

Flights to Jujuy will depart Friday and Sunday from Aeroparque at 11:55 a.m. and arrive at 2:10 p.m. Return flights (identified as DN6133) depart from Jujuy at 2:45 p.m. and arrive at Aeroparque at 4:50 p.m.

The other six cabotage routes that Norwegian Air Argentina has in operation are those that connect Buenos Aires with Córdoba, Mendoza, Neuquén, Salta, Bariloche and Iguazú.

The current fleet of Norwegian Air Argentina consists of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which meet the highest standards of safety, quality and efficient use of fuel.
