Hilton appoints Alvaro Valeriani as Senior Director of Sales and Marketing
The executive will concentrate its efforts on continuing to develop business opportunities in the region
Hilton announces the appointment of Alvaro Valeriani as senior director of regional sales and marketing for the Caribbean and Latin America. Valeriani will lead the global sales and marketing activities of the hospitality company in the region and at the same time develop commercial strategies to increase market share, boost revenue growth and exceed established corporate goals.
"Alvaro is an industry veteran with exceptional skills to expand the success and achievements that Hilton has already achieved so far in the Caribbean and Latin America," said Fernando Luis, Hilton's senior commercial director for the Caribbean and Latin America. "His invaluable vision and extensive experience in a variety of markets and cultures will make him an integral member of our team, while our regional portfolio continues to evolve and provide guests with exceptional experiences that they don't find elsewhere."
Driven by his unwavering passion for hospitality, Valeriani leaves behind SBE Entertainment, where he served as senior vice president of sales and marketing, where he was hired to develop the company's five-year strategic sales and marketing plan. Prior to his experience with SBE, he worked for more than 15 years with Hyatt, where he recently led sales and marketing efforts for the Caribbean and Latin America in the position of vice president of sales and marketing for the region.
"As the Caribbean and Latin America continue to evolve as a region with excellent tourist destinations, I value the opportunity to work with a company recognized as Hilton while it continues to expand its regional portfolio," said Valeriani. "I look forward to working together with such a talented team as we strive to achieve consistent business development and innovation throughout the region."
Valeriani is a true globetrotter who has lived and worked in Miami, Mexico City, Brazil, Chile, London and Singapore, and speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. He attended Cornell University, where he studied hotel marketing and revenue management, as well as the Catholic University of Uruguay, where he focused on business marketing with a specialization in advertising.
