Costa Cruceros announces a third ship in South America
The Costa Luminosa with a capacity for 2,826 guests, will for the first time complete a season in South America
Costa Cruceros announces its expansion in the region for the 2020/2021 season. Costa Luminosa with a capacity for 2,826 guests, will carry out for the first time a full season in South America incorporating a new ship to the local offer that will be the novelty for the Brazilian, Uruguayan and Argentine public.
The ship joins Costa Fascinosa and Costa Pacifica for itineraries in South America between November 2020 and April 2021. There will be, in total, three ships of the maritime company that will travel through the most beautiful Brazilian destinations and capitals of Argentina (Buenos Aires) and Uruguay (Montevideo) on itineraries of three to nine nights.

Dedicated to the Río de la Plata region, Costa Luminosa arrives in Santos on November 30, 2020 until March 2021. With boarding in Santos, there will be twelve seven-night tours to the Plata region, with stops in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Costa guests can also board the Costa Luminosa from the port of Itajaí (SC).
The ship will also make five mini cruises, three and four nights, boarding in Santos, touring the tourist cities of Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina and Ilha Grande, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
Santos will also be the embarkation port for cruise ships aboard the mega ship Costa Fascinosa, dedicated to the northern region of Brazil. Between December 2020 and April 2021, there will be fourteen itineraries of six to seven nights, visiting the cities of Buzios, Ilha Grande, Salvador and Ilhéus.
Northeast tourists will not have to travel to Santos to board the mega ship. You can embark on Salvador to experience a vacation on board with the best of Italian sailing.
The ship will also house six mini cruises, from three to four nights visiting Ilhabela, Ubatuba, Balneário Camboriú, Porto Belo.
Costa Fascinosa will still be on Copacabana Beach for New Year's Eve and, in April 2020, with the return of the Costa Luminosa ship to Italy, it will host the second consecutive Easter cruise. The itinerary with the thematic program is addressed on March 30, 2021. From Santos, the ship takes an eight-night trip through the Plata region.
Confirmed for another summer in South American waters, Costa Pacifica part of Rio de Janeiro for tours of Buenos Aires and Montevideo. With a duration of seven and nine nights, the itineraries also pass through Ilhabela, Buzios and Ilha Grande. On December 31, 2020, the ship will dock at Copacabana Beach for the celebration of New Year's Eve.
