UNICEF and El Embajador Hotel sign a collaboration agreement

The alliance is made with the objective of supporting the charity dinner for the organism's childhood

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Ambassador, A Royal Hideaway Hotel have signed a 3-year cooperation agreement, which aims to support the realization of the charity dinner that the organization will begin to make favor of children and adolescents in the Dominican Republic.

Through the agreement, the hotel undertakes to be a sponsor offering its facilities for the realization of that annual UNICEF fundraising event during the period of validity.

The Ambassador has also pledged to incorporate in his social responsibility policy the Rights of the Child and Business Principles to prevent the negative impacts on children that his activity could cause, and to adopt voluntary measures that promote the rights of children in its direct activity, its logistics chain and communities. It has also signed the Code of Conduct for the prevention of child sexual exploitation in the travel and tourism sector.

This year's charity dinner for children A Taste of Hope will be conducted by chef Carlos García, founder of the Alto restaurant in Caracas, which is considered one of the best in the world, and currently runs his second Obra Kitchen Table restaurant in Miami In 2018 García was chosen as the best Chef in Latin America in the Awards for the "50 Best Restaurants in Latin America".

This gastronomic experience for children will take place on November 6 and 7 in the Embassy Garden Hall of El Embajador, at Royal Hideaway Hotel, and its capacity will be 150 people every day.

The funds raised in this event will be allocated to UNICEF Dominican Republic programs to reduce the mortality of mothers and newborns, improve the quality of education, protect all children and adolescents from all types of violence, and prevent Child marriage, early unions and teenage pregnancy.
